ALASKA POLLOCK

Captain Schnell’s Fish HotDog is made from sustainable stocks of Alaska Pollock, harvested in the cold waters south of Alaska. Sustainable fishing means leaving enough fish in the ocean, respecting habitats and ensuring people who depend on fishing can maintain their livelihoods.

The fishing is carefully monitored by the US government, who ensures that the fish is being caught from sustainable stock. Certified by the MSC (Marine Stewarship Council) and FRM (Responsible Fisheries Management).

Since Alaska Pollock is a free-living fish, it has not been treated with antibiotics. It is rich in Omega 3, a vital fat that lowers risk for cardiovascular disease. To ensure the fish is fresh and keeps it's quality, it is filleted and frozen at sea within 6 hours of being caught.
